Currently halfway through the Wheel of Time series and was just wondering what books other people here read, what genres are their prefered, etc...

Just an all purpose book thread really...

I'll read pretty much anything and enjoy discussions on all kinds of books, anyone else?

By and large, I just don't read books. Well.. while reading them I keep thinking about something different which distracts me - and it's not because I have problems with concetration - they just tend to bore me.

Of course, there's one exeption :) - I reasonably enjoy reading horror books - by Stephen King mostly.

If you are a fantasy fan, check dragonlance series... cool books especially the ones about Raistlin.

Besides that its a must to read Salvatore's books about Drizzt...

If you like to laugh, try Books written by Pratchett - to get some jokes you have to read the books in english... translations kills big part of the jokes...

Besides that Kurt Vonnegut wrote some interesting books... - its not fantasy!

@ Manet: Stephen King is a great author to read, Dark Tower series is one of my favorites while some of his others are on my "must read" list.

@ Kag: I will certainly check the Dragonlance series out when my current list is done(about 20 books lol), Pratchett books just seem a little to non-linear for my liking in that they're all discworld but not really related. I'll check out the other authors from a few places see if I'll like them.
