hello

excelent analysis. I was trying to do something similar for myself, but with only one character is impossible.

just two points to the author:

do you think melee skill for a knight with skills above ~90 is linear? (is the growth constant after this point?)

woulld be great if you could publish charts with linear scale. This semi-logarithmic scale dont convince me :)

Great article

It is linear, essentially the number of hits required for an advance in melee is multiplied by 1.1 from the previous skill. So (and these are not exact numbers), if it takes 1000 hits to advance from skill 90 to 91, it will take 1100 hits to advance from 91 to 92, 1210 hits from 92 to 93 and so on.

Also, there is a slight problem with offline distance training atm but should be fixed soon.

Quoting from the article: "The total mana gained in one offline training session would be 43,200 mana".

When I read this I found it strange because the other day I read at the wiki that the amount regenerated was 50% of a promoted mage, then I went to check it ingame. Your article also states the same. Both by your metric of 0.5 mana/s and when I checked it ingame that information was correct.

12(h)*3600(s/h)*0.5(mana/s) = 21,600 mana , so I supposed that you put this 43,200 value as if the offline training session had a duration of 24h. The time of a "training session" could be arbitrary but I'm posting this because I think you meant the values of a 12h session.

edit:
Btw thank you for all of your hard work on all of the research articles and calculators, you have no idea how much I appreciate it and how much I'm thankful for it (I'm really a fan :luv: ), I had been waiting for an excuse to register here and post for about a year right now.

Thanks for catching this, I don't know why I wrote this when the calculator is correct (maybe it was from my spreadsheet and I was thinking 24 hours rather than only 12 hours).

So the correct sentence would be:
Quote:
The total mana gained in one offline training session would be 21,600 mana worth approximately 9.7k if you simply drank small mana potions and returned the flasks.

I believe there is an error in knight offline training times, when training magic level.

At magic lvl 7, 12 hours will give me 0,2% progress towards ml 8. This means it takes roughly 500 days go advance.

Calculator tells me it's 162 days total to get magic 7 - 8.

My level 8 knight has skills 71/97 and magic lvl 7 (77% left to 8).

According to the calculator:
sword 10-71 = 15d 11h
shield 10-97 = 369d 12h

This leaves me with roughly 353 days of magic training. ~350 days of magic training should get me magic level 0->8 with 22% progress towards 9. And in reality it took me to magic level 7 with 23% progress towards 8.
