I think at some point CIP did say something like that about druids, but could be wrong. But to be honest, even now it does not really matter that much since very few actually hunt with melee.

It was stated in the old vocation guide. I just checked now and it no longer says it, but it did say that either drudis gained skills slightly faster than sorcerers, or that sorcerers gained skills slower than druids. I'm totally sure of it.

Nice research! I found out myself that time needed for next skill is 1,1*time for previous skill while training on dummies and I knew about the 'hit counter' but I thought that only shield hits count towards it (so 2 creatures for shield and one to attack = 15 rounds, but it's 10 as you just found out).

I also have one more thing for you to test but I couldn't find a good thread for some 'research proposals'. I decided to post it in melee research :) So, are hits really random? is there a same chance to hit 1 as hitting 400 or it's less likely to deal highest/lowest damage?

It is a little complicated. The actual hits you do are not random, but they follow something that looks like a normal distribution. This means most hits are "average" and as you move to the low and high hits, they become more and more rare.

The way this gets complicated is that if you hit something with armor, the amount of damage the armor takes off the hit IS random. So it makes the results look a little funny sometimes.

I bet that the distribution looks pretty much like Gaussian function.

Armor really is a problem to determine it's properly, but I think dummies have 0 armor? Maybe it will be possible to test it there more or less :)

a question about the research:
"- in order to reset a hit counter you have to deal dmg to the creature with your weapon (do the blood hit)"
ok, but if a creature deal dmg to you? it reset the hit counter or not?

as far as I know (and I'm almost 100% sure of that), blood hits dealt to you by the creature doesn't count as resets for your hit counter...

I think so too, but I'm not 100% sure of it.

It does not count if a creature deals damage to you, only if you deal damage to the creature.
